My brother got me watching Kakegurui and I had to translate Yumeko Jabami's (蛇喰 夢子) name for him.

夢 (yume) ---> dream

子 (ko) -----> child

Pretty common Japanese girl name, if I'm honest.

蛇 (ja) -----> snake

喰 (bami) -----> devouring

Yumeko is a member of the Hundred Devouring Families (better known as the Momobami clan), and all their last names end in -bami. The "snake" part could be a reference to a "snake eyes" dice roll, but I have no idea.

とても面白いね…

I currently use obliviate.app as my password manager of choice. No account signups, no complicated UIs, no shenanigans. Just input a domain name and a passphrase. That's it. I no longer use elementaryOS, but this app is still really cool.

The only downside is you can only store passwords. That's it. No TOTP, no credit/debit card autofill, etc. This is acceptable for me, as I don't really believe that storing 2FA inside a password manager is optimal from a security standpoint anyway.

Topology systems are great tools, but they are just that: tools. I quite enjoy my MBTI hammer and my enneagram chisel, as they help me sculpt a more complete picture of who I am in addition to who others are, and where I fit in as well as where I REALLY don't. I never feel I'm endorsing a tool when I use it; I just use it. It's always optimal to keep an open mind wherever possible, or you miss out on a great deal of other useful abstractions, even if in the process you fall victim to stereotypes and jokes which give a nice laugh but at heart just leech like a toxin on your mind if you happen to be at the expense of them (INFP crybabies lol).

Watching (and rewatching old) Veritasium video essays… knowledge about blightful chemicals that will haunt me in perpetuity.

I've been feeling quite abject recently due to loosing my phone and computer (with all my files) in a custody battle last year. Every photo, video, song, or document I've ever possessed: gone. An entire history of my life I'll never have access to ever again. :[

I am offically a 2025 high school graduate. Never again will I set foot in a bus of a yellow hue!

. . .I have a song that, only when school gets out, do I listen to it. I feel as if in an alternate universe it could have well been the end credits theme for Doki Doki Literature Club; it's assuredly my high school end credits theme, though. ;]

For the curtailing of my own castigation, all the timestamps listed on this website have been modified to conform to ISO 8601 as much as possible.

I fervently recommend implementing the same for anyone else with a personal website—if you don't already—or may you face the ire of the Standards Justice Warriors™.

Only 2 weeks remain of my high school career. . .

Time is certainly a fickle construct.

Some would say that you shouldn't use Garamond on the web. But personally I adore EB Garamond, keeping with the elegance of the original Garamond while having better readability on screens. The Granjon italics it avails are especially beautiful, and it's entirely open source to boot!

It's based on the Berner specimen, and while it's not perfect by any means, it's quickly become my favorite font of all time (and I hate picking favorites).

I find it difficult to express the degree to which I vibe with this. . .

I have to write this paper for English and it's making me pretty anxious. . .

Writing is fine once I start, but my writing anxiety remains inexorable yet.

ISO standard date format support coming soon!*

*and by "soon", I mean 5 months from now when I actually have consistent internet access. Not having that is likely a blessing in disguse, however.

This is so dead lmfaooo

I'll get this place working the way I want later this year, but it might take more than a hot minute. Graduating from high school gradually into adulthood is a big transition to make.

Only being able to use a library computer right now (don't ask) doesn't really help. :[

But I have this, which will make me happy enough to not overthink and worry. :]

Definitely using Garamond as the font from now on, though. Gotta be the most elegant font ever crafted.
